Next Step - Working with Clients is for Professional Organisers who have just started out but have some experience. It has been designed to ensure your reputation as one of the best in the business.

This 1 Day Intensive course comprises of 6 modules that are taught at our easy to find training venues in Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane. By appointment, we will run these training courses in Canberra, Albury & Newcastle.

Each module builds on the one before and we include role play:

  2. Assessing your clients
  3. Managing client expectations
  4. Essential 'kit' items
  5. Boundaries, yours & your clients
  6. Estimating time & charges

Sarah Cottman is an Accredited Expert Professional Organiser with years of experience teaching & mentoring new, as well as experienced organisers. You will learn practical & efficient ways to organise you & your clients!

The course includes our 'Professional Organiser Training' Manual and the assurance that in the unlikely event you need a refresher, you may do so at no charge!

Cost for Training Course is $1129.00 for non AAPO Members, $949.00 for current AAPO Members. AAPO is The Australasian Association of Professional Organisers. It is our Industry Association with members throughout Australasia. Sarah is currenty serving on the Executive Committee as the Vice President.

The 1 day intensive starts at 8:30am, concludes at 4:45pm and includes morning & afternoon tea and light lunch.

Set up for success:

From the first contact with a potential client, you are establishing the outcome. Make sure that it will be a successful one!

Module 2

Assessing your clients:

What are you being hired for? Can you work as a team? Can you help?

Module 3

Managing expectations:

You must know what is expected so that you can not only fulfil those expectations, but exceed them!

Module 4

Essential kit items:

Labeller? Stapler? Of course, but what else should you take, what else will you need?

Module 5

Boundaries:

You are a Professional doing a sometimes highly emotionally charged job. What are your boundaries? The lines can feel blurred at times!

Module 6

Estimating time:

How long will a room or space take? How much should you charge? Should you make a guarantee?
