Back to school? Here are our Terrific Term Time Tips!
Here are some quick tips to make the start to the school year terrific!
Create a check list for each person for each day of the school week. Encourage each person to use their checklist and speak to you if there is anything missing (preferably before you arrive at school!)Get up 10 mins earlier until your routine is established. Rushing around is not good for anyone, particularly the children. Make a space just for school 'stuff'. It doesn't have to be a big area, just somewhere that school bags, shoes, books 'live'.Plan school lunches & after school snacks. Growing children, (yes, we are including teenagers!) seem to come home ravenous and no one communicates well on an empty stomach. If possible, treat yourself to a coffee with others on the first day! Take a moment to build relationships with others in a similar position. It could be the start of a great support network. For hands on help & service, click here
